Operation: Rising Star
Hōkūala is proud to partner with Folds of Honor, a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide life-changing scholarships to the spouses and children of America’s fallen or disabled military and First Responders.
Hōkūala hosted the inaugural Operation: Rising Star golf tournament at the award-winning Jack Nicklaus Signature Ocean Course in 2022 with proceeds going directly to Folds of Honor scholarship recipients in the state of Hawai‘i. Hōkūala’s Operation: Rising Star and our generous donors and participants, in three years, have contributed to more than 63 $5,000 scholarships, directly benefitting our community.
Operation: Rising Star 2025
2025’s annual tournament will take place on December 14, 2025, at the Ocean Course at Hōkūala. Sponsorships, in-kind donations, and monetary donations are being accepted now for this year’s event! Since its inception in 2007 by Lt Col Dan Rooney, Folds of Honor has awarded over 62,000 scholarships with 45% of all awarded representing minority recipients.
