Hōkūala is proud to partner with Folds of Honor, a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide life-changing scholarships to the spouses and children of America’s fallen or disabled military and First Responders.
Hōkūala hosted the inaugural Operation: Rising Star golf tournament at the award-winning Jack Nicklaus Signature Ocean Course on December 18, 2022, with proceeds going directly to Folds of Honor scholarship recipients in the state of Hawai‘i. This year’s annual event will take place on December 17, 2023.
2022’s Success
Despite strong winds and rolling storms, our community came together to sell out our participant teams and raised more than $125,000, or 25 scholarships, for Folds of Honor recipients throughout the Hawaiian islands. Our Title Sponsor was Odom Hawaii, who generously donated 10 scholarships; our Wingman Sponsor, a generous 5 scholarships, was Shioi Construction.
